Principal

Ian is known as a passionate and highly skilled hospitality executive. His career spans 40 years and he is a Hotel Management graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). He began his career with CP Hotels (now Fairmont) and progressed through numerous operational positions to become the youngest General Manager in the history of CP at the age of 28. He went on to manage two other CP hotels and also held the position of Corporate Director of Rooms in his 22 years with CP. Since that time, with other entities, Ian has held the positions of Regional Vice President, Senior Vice President Operations, COO of a renowned five-star resort, President of a regional company and most recently Vice President of Management Services.

Associate – Regional Director

Genevieve holds a hotel management degree from Limoilou College and is now based in Grand Prairie. She started her career in food & beverage and quickly became the manager of a high volume hotel restaurant. She later went on to manage that hotel (Best Western) and subsequently was promoted to General Manager of the Holiday Inn and Conference Centre which was owned by the same company. She later was promoted again to become Area Manager and then Regional Vice President. She is respected for her strong food & beverage skills, and her human resource skill set. Ian and Genevieve were colleagues in that same company for a number of years.

Associate – Regional Director

Susan is a seasoned hospitality professional offering 25+ years of diverse experience in all aspects of hotel operations. Through out her career Susan has worked for national level companies with strong operations, sales and revenue management platforms. More specifically, she has been the General Manager of four full-service hotel properties and has a passion for sales, revenue management and food & beverage. She holds a Certification in Executive Coaching and is currently working on a Master of Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University. Susan oversees the sales and revenue management programs for Hurst Hospitality.

Associate – Regional Director

A graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Hospitality Management, Amanda has spent 30+ years in the Hospitality Industry, 22 of which with Fairmont Hotels (formerly CP Hotels) at such notable properties as The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (Director of Operations), The Fairmont Banff Springs (Hotel Manager) and The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (General Manager). Amanda has also held a Regional Manager role and spent several years as a consultant assisting numerous hotels to maximize their business performance. Amanda also takes the industry to heart and has worked on the British Columbia Hotel Association Board of Directors, the President of the Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Columbia Valley Tourism Marketing Committee and Founder and Chair of the Jasper Destination Marketing Committee. As the first female member of Skal in the Canadian Rockies, Amanda prides herself on being a leader and motivator for the industry.
